By request we are now offering 1010 Low Carbon steel pole screws in sets of 6. These detailed period correct replica Pole Screws are a small but key detail in the tonal character of 50s/early 60s era P90s and PAFs. Low carbon parts like these are utilised in our own PAF replicas and P90s and, along with many other factors, are integral in crafting just the right sweet high end, balanced midrange and rounded low end response.

It’s amazing just how much of an impact a screw swap in an existing, modern built pickup can make! In general terms you can expect a less strident high end and a more rounded character in comparison to the modern, higher carbon steel offerings generally found in contemporary pickups.
